Explore Mungyeong Saejae, where Korean historical dramas meet mountain scenery. Request a private journey centred on the Mungyeongsaejae Open Set, recreated Joseon-era streets and the historic Juheulgwan first gate. VisitKorea identifies the open set as a filming location for Kingdom, The Red Sleeve and The Moon Embracing the Sun. This is a destination visit, not access to actors or a live production; the route is confirmed after checking filming closures and your travel plans.

Multilingual tour guide available upon request, in your preferred language, subject to availability and an additional fee.

Local Dining & Dietary Options

We help you choose a suitable dining stop for your preferences — vegetarian meals, halal food or local regional dishes — after discussing your needs and checking with restaurants in advance. Availability, ingredients and halal certification must be confirmed before the visit.

A journey from Seoul to Mungyeong involves a longer drive, so a well-paced lunch and time to rest are important parts of planning your day. We discuss a suitable meal stop around your sightseeing route rather than leaving lunch to the last minute.

Discover the authentic flavours of Mungyeong through options such as traditional mountain vegetable bibimbap, Korean countryside set meals and regional specialties. Restaurants near the Mungyeong Saejae sightseeing area or along the agreed route may be considered, depending on opening hours, group seating and menu availability. The restaurant and menu are confirmed in advance, not guaranteed by these examples.

Our private tour allows flexibility in choosing a suitable lunch stop based on your dietary preferences. Tell us about allergies, vegetarian preferences or other dietary needs when requesting your tour. Ingredients, broths, sauces and preparation methods must be checked with the restaurant; a vegetable-based dish is not automatically vegetarian or halal.

For Muslim travellers, we can help explore halal-friendly dining options upon advance request. Halal certification and your specific dietary requirements must be confirmed with each restaurant before your visit. Halal-friendly does not mean halal-certified, and suitable options cannot be guaranteed until these checks are complete.

Meals, drinks and personal expenses are not included in the tour price. Your written itinerary confirms the proposed lunch stop, while meal costs are discussed separately before booking.
